SHENYANG
STUDENTS TO VISIT SAN GABRIEL VALLEY HIGH SCHOOLS.
Along with Cal State University at San Bernardino, Mesnew, Inc.,
and United States Pacific Rim Chamber will be hosting a group
of 12 high school students from Shenyang, China. The students,
in addition to the University will visit several high schools
in the San Gabriel Valley area. The visitation date has not
been set as yet but principal Ms. Geng Wenru of Shenyang No.
134 High School has stated the first week of October will be
the target date.
The purpose of the Chinese visitation is to learn and understand
the nuances and differences of the American High School system
as compared to their own. The students especially want to meet
their counterparts and share experiences, differences in classroom
studies, culture, hours of study, technology etc. Needless to
say, excitement is running high. |

USAPRC and the United States Small Business Development Centers
(SBDC) classes have been developed specifically for small
and medium entrepreneurs. The classes are approximately 3
hours in length and are held weekly. Teachers for these classes
are highly trained professionals from various universities,
the SBA, Small Business Administration plus Chairpersons from
‘International Trade Departments’ of various Chambers
Of Commerce. The classes are usually free or a nominal sum.
From time to time ‘excursions’ are provided to
our chamber to visit University Business Departments. Much
information can be gleaned from these excursions and are beneficial to our members. USAPRC
